Franklinton moves into state quarterfinals with 40-14 win over Jennings

The Franklinton Demons football team rolled over their regional round playoff opponent last Friday in Demon Stadium. The Demons took a close game at halftime and rolled to a blowout win over the Jennings Bulldogs, 40-14.

Local students tour Rayburn Correctional Center, learn about prison life

Last week, Sheriff Jason Smith along with, B.B. Rayburn Correctional Center’s Warden, Travis Day and District Attorney Collin Sims partnered to bring in 8th grade boys from across the parish to RCC.
The field trip was designed to show the boys the realities of prison life and what one bad decision can lead to.
