Library is accepting food donations to eliminate fines and costs

The Washington Parish Library is now accepting nonperishable food items for their Food For Fines program. Each nonperishable, not expired food item brought to a branch can eliminate up to $3 in library fines and book, DVD, or library card replacement costs.

LSU announces new President and Chancellor

Witches were seen at Franklinton Primary School

Students arriving at Franklinton Primary School on Monday morning were greeted with a scary scene. Three witches were hanging around the school. Rather than being scared however, the students appeared to love the presence of the witches. They may have seemed a bit familiar: The witches were the school’s principal and two literacy coaches.
