The Franklinton Junior High Falcons football team has ended their season with a perfect record at 8-0 after soundly defeating the Loranger Middle School Wolves last week in Demon Stadium.
Another extremely impressive feat the Falcons pulled off this season was that their defense allowed exactly zero points on the season. The Falcons have gone undefeated the last two seasons and captured the Washington Parish Junior High championship both seasons as well.
Coach Andy Creel said he had great players.
"A great group of young men that have worked extremely hard in the off season and during the season to get better each week."
Creel also wanted to point out the job his assistants do.
"Hats off to my assistant coaches that do a phenomenal job."
Reggie Wilson is the defensive coordinator and Coach Creel wanted to particularly give him praise.
Against Loranger, Jy'Quarious Dykes opened the scoring as he ripped off a 70 yard run on the first play of the game. Matthew Zachary hit the extra point and the score was 7-0.

The Wolves looked to score in the third period as they went on a good drive which included a long pass completion on 4th and 8 which put the Wolves at the Falcons 5 yard line. But the Falcons’ defense stood up and had a tackle for loss on first down before Dykes intercepted a pass on second down to end the threat.
On the following play Dykes ended the scoring in the third as he blasted his way to an 88 yard touchdown with 4:16 left in the period. The score was 35-0 after Zachary's extra point.
