Lecompte leaves, new football coach takes over at FHS

Franklinton High school and principal Shane Smith have announced their new football coach after Coach Guy Lecompte left FHS to retire from education.

Dominic "Nick" Saltaformaggio has been selected as the next head football coach for the Demons, pending school board approval.

Franklinton Demons have 7 first team All-District selections

The coaches of district 8-4A that include Franklinton, Lakeshore, Salmen, Hannan, Loranger and Pearl River recently released the All District football team and as usual the Demons of Franklinton High were well represented with seven first team selections and five second team selections.

Pine, Varnado, and Bogalusa have All-District selections

The coaches of districts 8-3A and 10-1A have released their all district selections with three local teams being nicely represented. District 8-3A is made up of Pine, Amite, Bogalusa, Albany and Sumner while district 10-1A is made up of Riverside Academy, St Martins, Varnado, Cohen, West St John and Crescent City.
